The Food For The Hungry (FFTH) board is offering a summer grant opportunity directed to reach churches, agencies, and organizations that provide summer food distribution programs to fill the gap for families with children home from school.
Food for the Hungry opened a special summer grant process to help organizations throughout Knox County eliminate the food gap for children and teens during summer vacation.
On March 29, the Food For The Hungry board elected six new members to the board. The new board members are Michelle Coscia, Lisa Lloyd, Jay McLaughlin, Chelsea Porter, Melanie Snow and Jared Stein.
This year marks the 34th year of The Knox Public Library campaigning for Food For The Hungry. While The Knox Public Library is no longer charging fines, they are continuing to collect food and funds in support of the annual Food For The Hungry Drive from Nov. 7 through Dec. 3.
