The Knox County Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to attend three upcoming ribbon-cutting celebrations that will highlight new businesses, expanded services, and renovated facilities in Mount Vernon during late July and August.
The first event will take place on Tuesday, July 28, at 11 a.m. with the grand opening and ribbon cutting for Sweet Street Soda & Candy Shoppe, located at 1 E. High St., Mount Vernon. The celebration is free and open to the public. Additional ribbon cuttings will follow on Thursday, Aug. 6, at 4 p.m. for BHP of Central Ohio Inc.'s Knox County Behavioral Health Crisis Center at 8402 Blackjack Road, and on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 3 p.m. for the reopening of Knox Community Hospital's Internal Medicine clinic at 1661 Venture Drive, Suite A.
Each event offers community members an opportunity to welcome local organizations, learn more about their services, and celebrate important milestones. The gatherings also provide opportunities for networking while showcasing businesses and organizations that continue to invest in Knox County. The first celebration will introduce visitors to a new destination for candy lovers.
Sweet Street Soda & Candy Shoppe offers a wide variety of products, including craft sodas, nostalgic favorites, trending candy, mystery bags, Playmobil products, Ty Beanies, and more.
The Aug. 6 ribbon cutting will recognize the opening of BHP of Central Ohio Inc.'s Knox County Behavioral Health Crisis Center, marking an expansion of behavioral health services available to area residents. The event will celebrate the organization's latest addition to the community.
The celebration will also recognize BHP of Central Ohio Inc.'s commitment to providing compassionate care and support when it is needed most throughout the community.
The Aug. 27 event will mark the reopening of Knox Community Hospital's newly renovated Internal Medicine clinic. Guests will be welcomed by clinic staff and have the opportunity to tour the updated facility while meeting Dr. William Addington, Jackie Neighbarger, and Kevin Shields.
Attendees at the clinic reopening will also enjoy light refreshments and have the opportunity to network with fellow community members. Like the other ribbon-cutting events, the celebration is free and open to the public.
