The Knox County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Educators’ Breakfast to welcome new teachers and honor veteran educators in the community.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 6, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Foster Hall in Ariel Arena on the campus of Mount Vernon Nazarene University, located at 800 Martinsburg Road in Mount Vernon.

The breakfast brings together business leaders, community supporters, and educators to celebrate the start of the school year and highlight the vital role teachers play in shaping Knox County’s future. Transitioning to this year’s program, the Chamber announced a featured guest speaker.

This year’s keynote will be delivered by Dr. John Berry, President of Central Ohio Technical College, who will share an inspiring message for educators as they prepare to step into classrooms and make a difference in students’ lives.

Berry’s participation affirms the event’s mission of encouragement and recognition, offering educators a motivating start to the academic year.

Admission is free for new educators in Knox County, while veteran educators and community supporters may attend for $25.

Community partnerships make the breakfast possible, with local businesses stepping up to support educators.

"The Chamber extends a special thank you to the Corporate Sponsor, Kokosing Construction, and the Event Sponsor, Buffalo Wild Wings, for their generous support of this event," the Chamber announced in a press release. "Everyone is invited to attend and celebrate our dedicated local educators."

Registration is open until Friday, July 24, with cancellations after that date and no-shows subject to invoicing.

The Educators’ Breakfast is part of the Chamber’s broader mission to empower and support businesses, leadership, and the community. By honoring educators, the Chamber reinforces the connection between strong schools and a thriving local economy.
