Mount Vernon Nazarene University announced on July 16 that its Doctor of Nursing Practice program will host an on-site evaluation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education from Sept. 16 to 18, 2026.
As part of the accreditation process, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education requires institutions to provide an opportunity for program constituents and members of the public to submit written third-party comments before the on-site evaluation. Comments should address the DNP program’s compliance with CCNE accreditation standards and must be submitted by email to [email protected] no later than Aug. 26, 2026.
The university said that the accreditation review is a voluntary, peer-review process that evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing education programs. Community members, healthcare partners, alumni, students and other interested stakeholders may submit comments directly to CCNE.
