The Southwest Ohio District elected Daryl Blank as its new superintendent on July 13. Blank is currently the pastor of Cincinnati Springdale Church of the Nazarene.
Blank’s appointment will take effect on August 11, when he will succeed Robert “Bob” Mahaffey, who has served as superintendent since 2016.
Blank became an ordained minister in 1996 and earned a bachelor’s degree in ministry from Nazarene Bible College in 2021. His early ministry included staff roles at Pontiac First Church of the Nazarene in Michigan from 1990 to 1991 and Williams Lake Church of the Nazarene from 1991 to 1992. He also pastored Bad Axe Church of the Nazarene between 1992 and 1996, followed by Flint East Church of the Nazarene until 2002.
In 2002, Blank moved to Tennessee to serve as pastor at Goodlettsville Church of the Nazarene, remaining there until November 2012. Since then, he has led Cincinnati Springdale Church of the Nazarene.
Blank has been a member of the General Board of the Church of the Nazarene since 2024 and serves on its Local Church Ministries committee. He lives with his wife Tracy and their three children in Monroe, Ohio.
