The Robbins Hunter Museum announced it will welcome guests on Saturday, June 13, for an afternoon program exploring the life, legacy, and mysteries surrounding Licking County suffragette Victoria Woodhull. The event is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM at the museum’s location at 221 E. Broadway in Granville, Ohio.

The free public program will include the book launch of "Unstoppable: The Victoria Woodhull Story" by author Kate Danaher. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about newly uncovered archival records connected to the 1846 Claflin mill fire and hear a historical presentation by genealogist Mary L. Shearer. Refreshments will be served following the program.

Victoria Woodhull, a native of Homer, Ohio, became the first woman to run for President of the United States in 1872. The Robbins Hunter Museum describes itself as the first memorial to Victoria Woodhull in the United States and continues to share her story through this special event and its permanent Woodhull exhibit.

Admission is free and open to the public; however, seating is limited. Those interested are asked to RSVP by emailing [email protected], to help with planning for seating and refreshments.
