The City of Mount Vernon announced on April 6 two road closures to accommodate street, sanitary, and water utility work.
West Hamtramck Street will be closed between North Sandusky Street and North Main Street for street and utility improvements. The closure began at 7:00 a.m. on April 6 and is scheduled to end at 5:00 p.m. on August 7. The road remains open for emergency traffic and local traffic during this period. The closure was requested by the Engineering Department. Residents with questions regarding this closure are advised to contact Jason Epley at 740-393-9528.
Frost Alley will also be closed between Lewis Street and Vannatta Street due to sanitary and water utility work requested by Habitat for Humanity. This closure started at 9:30 a.m. on April 6 and is expected to last until 9:30 a.m. on April 8. Frost Alley is closed to all traffic, including emergency vehicles, during this time frame.
