Habitat for Humanity of Knox County announced its annual 5K and 1-Mile Run/Walk will take place on May 23, 2026. The event is open to participants of all abilities and will feature routes through Gambier and the Kokosing Gap Trail.

Check-in and race day registration are scheduled to open at 8 a.m., with the 5K Walk/Run starting at 9 a.m. and the 1-Mile Walk/Run beginning at 9:05 a.m. Strollers are permitted on the course, with organizers requesting that those using strollers line up near the end for safety reasons.

After finishing, participants will be provided with water, fruit, and post-race snacks. The event is set to occur rain or shine.

Proceeds from the race will support Habitat for Humanity of Knox County’s Ramp Up and Home Build programs. Organizers are seeking sponsors at multiple levels as well as volunteers to assist with various aspects of the event, including registration, course support, and cheering on participants.

Additional information about sponsorships, volunteering opportunities, or questions regarding the event can be found by contacting Sarah Scott at [email protected] or by visiting the official roster page at the organization's website.
