Danville Junior High and High School has released its upcoming state testing schedule, along with detailed instructions for students and families as testing season nears.
According to the notice sent to parents and guardians, English Language Arts exams for students in ELA7, ELA8, and English 10 will be administered on Thursday, April 16, and Friday, April 17. Mathematics testing for Math 8, Algebra I, and Geometry students is scheduled for Thursday, April 30, and Friday, May 1. The final round of testing, which includes Math 7 as well as Science 8 and Biology, will take place Monday, May 4, and Tuesday, May 5.
School officials said students who are testing must report at their regular start time and bring fully charged Chromebooks. Bus schedules will operate as usual, and students will be notified in advance of their testing locations. Room assignments will also be posted in the school lobby. The building will open at 7:30 a.m., and breakfast will be available for those arriving early.
Students not scheduled to test on a given day are asked to arrive by 10 a.m. and enter through the east side lobby doors. They will report to first period after testing concludes. Breakfast will not be provided during the later arrival window. Those arriving before 10 a.m. must remain in designated supervised areas, such as the lobby or gymnasium, until testing ends.
School officials encouraged families to review the schedule closely and ensure students understand arrival procedures to help testing days run smoothly.
Parents or guardians with questions are encouraged to contact the junior high/high school office.
For parents of incoming kindergartners, registration details have also been released.
