Fredericktown High School is preparing for the upcoming State End of Course exams, which are mandated by the Ohio Department of Education as a requirement for graduation.

To accommodate testing, the school will operate on a two-hour delay schedule on exam days. Buses will continue to run at their normal times, but students arriving late must arrange their own transportation. Those scheduled to test must report at 7:40 a.m., while students not testing may arrive at 9:30 a.m. or choose to come earlier at 7:30 a.m., where supervised areas will be available. Breakfast will be served at the usual time, and room assignments will be communicated to students prior to exam day, according to the school announcement.

The testing schedule begins Wednesday, April 15, with English Language Arts II Part 1, followed by Part 2 on April 16. Algebra I and Geometry Part 1 will be administered on April 28, with Part 2 on April 29. Biology is scheduled for April 30, and Government and U.S. History will conclude the testing period on May 1. This structured approach ensures that students are well-prepared and supported as they complete these critical assessments, which play a central role in their academic progress and future opportunities.

Students currently enrolled in English Language Arts II, Algebra, Geometry, Biology, Government, and U.S. History, as well as those retaking exams, will participate.

In addition to fulfilling graduation requirements, achieving high scores on certain exams can earn students graduation seals and honors, adding further incentive to perform well.
