Newton Elementary and Utica Elementary are preparing to welcome families with two beloved seasonal traditions.
Newton Elementary will host its annual Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event offers a donation-based breakfast alongside festive activities designed for children and families. Guests can shop for holiday treasures at the Santa Shop, craft reindeer food, decorate cookies, and enter raffle baskets.
"No reason to cook breakfast — come have Breakfast with Santa and join in on the fun!" the Newton PTO said. "Bring the family, enjoy a yummy meal, and make some holiday memories!"
The highlight of the morning will be a visit with Santa himself, giving children the chance to meet the holiday icon and capture memorable photos.
Volunteers are also invited to make the event more magical. They will assist children in selecting thoughtful Secret Santa gifts, guide them through cookie decorating, and lend a hand with festive holiday crafts. Volunteers will also play an important role in capturing special moments with Santa, ensuring families have keepsakes to treasure.
Organizers emphasize that volunteer support is essential to the event’s success. Volunteers can sign up through the QR code found on the flyer.
“With your volunteer support, we can bring the magic of Christmas to Newton Elementary,” the flyer notes.
Festivities continue at North Fork Local Schools, where Utica Elementary will showcase students' talents during the Winter Concert Series. It will feature music from kindergarten through fourth grade. Kindergarten students will perform on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 6:00 p.m., followed by first grade at 6:45 p.m. and second grade at 7:30 p.m. The following day, the third graders will take the stage at 6:30 p.m., with fourth grade concluding the series at 7:15 p.m.
