5K run to support Knox County Kids Succeed | Lashley Training Center, KiCKS

The Lashley Training Center and Knox County Kids Succeed (KiCKS) are inviting the community to a family 5K run on Saturday, Nov. 29.

Families are encouraged to participate in the "Kicking it For Kicks" 5K  at Ariel Foundation Park, with the race set to begin at 9 a.m. Participants are advised to arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

"We will be hosting our kicking it for kicks 5k run on November 29th starting at 9am. We recommend to get there at 8:30am to stretch and get ready for our walk/run event," the organizers stated. "It will be located at Ariel Foundation Park! We hope to see you there at this amazing opportunity to give back to the kids."

Participants can choose from several registration options: $30 for pre-registration with a free event T-shirt, $20 for pre-registration without a shirt, and $25 for day-of registration. Children under 10 can join the run for free. Registration is available online through Lashley Training’s booking site or by phone at 740-398-7410.

Proceeds from the event benefit KiCKS, a nonprofit organization committed to enriching children's lives and fostering opportunity.

"Kicks - Knox County Kids Succeed exists to provide scholarships for disadvantaged youth in our community to participate in extracurricular activities like performing arts,  fitness programs, dance, and martial arts," KiCKS stated. "Every dollar raised goes to enrich the lives of deserving kids in Knox County.

KiCKS is actively seeking donors and sponsors to help local children participate in partnered activities. The organization invites community members and businesses to contribute by sponsoring a child, ensuring access to enriching experiences that promote growth, confidence, and connection. Through these partnerships, KiCKS continues its mission to empower youth and strengthen community ties.

KiCKS currently partners with Lashley Training Center and several other organizations to provide Knox County kids with opportunities to participate in their activities.
