The Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's volleyball team has been recognized with several honors from the Crossroads League. Six players and an assistant coach received accolades on November 17.
Evelyn Brown, a freshman middle hitter from Canal Winchester, Ohio, was named the Crossroads League Freshman of the Year and earned First Team honors. Brown's debut season saw her achieve 315 kills, averaging 2.69 per set, with a .413 hit percentage. She also ranked second on her team with 77 total blocks.
Senior setter Reagan Nuss from Brownstown, Indiana, concluded her final season by earning First Team honors. Nuss recorded 1,125 assists this year, averaging 9.7 per set. Her performance included 319 digs and 72 kills.
Faith Maloney, a senior right-side hitter from South Webster, Ohio, also received First Team honors. Maloney led her team with 325 kills and contributed defensively with 58 blocks and 170 digs.
Jaelyn Tang, a senior libero from Mililani, Hawaii, earned Second Team honors after recording 533 digs this season. Tang's career at MVNU includes a total of 1,740 digs.
Junior outside hitter Libby Evanshine from New Vienna, Ohio was recognized with Second Team honors for her performance this season. Evanshine recorded 339 kills and added to the defense with 51 blocks and 117 digs.
Freshman Morgan Schlabach from Sugarcreek, Ohio made the All-Freshmen Team and Honorable Mention Team after recording 183 kills and contributing defensively with 232 digs.
Assistant Coach Molly Galaszewski was named Assistant Coach of the Year. A former player for the Lady Cougars as a libero from 2019 to 2023, Galaszewski joined the coaching staff in 2024 under Head Coach Kendra Mosher.
