Lakeholm Church of the Nazarene is inviting the community to participate in two meaningful and family-friendly events this October.
In partnership with Twin Oak Elementary School, Lakeholm Church is co-sponsoring the Good News Club, a weekly after-school program that begins on Thursday, Oct. 2.
Designed for children in grades K–5, the club, whihc is sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship of Morrow-Ashland-Richland-Crawford-Knox Counties, offers a vibrant mix of Bible lessons, missionary stories, scripture memory, music, and hands-on activities that foster character development and moral values. The program is facilitated by trained Christian volunteers and adheres to Child Evangelism Fellowship child protection policies to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
Participation is open to children of all backgrounds, and parents are welcome to attend alongside their child. Registration forms are due to the school secretary by Wednesday, Oct. 1. A copy of the form can be found at https://www.mt-vernon.k12.oh.us/Downloads/GNC_Invitation%20Form.pdf. For more information, families may contact Lois Carter at 740-501-3472.
Additionally, Lakeholm Church will host its annual Fall Harvest Party on Sunday, Oct. 5, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 16001 Glen Road, Mount Vernon, OH. This festive gathering will feature games, hayrides, food, live music, and a variety of seasonal activities for all ages. Tyler Maddux & Co., a musical ensemble from Mount Vernon Nazarene University, will be performing live at this year’s event. In addition, a local rock band featuring several Lakeholm musicians, along with other community members, will also take the stage.
The event is free and open to the public, offering a joyful opportunity to celebrate the season and connect with neighbors. For further details, please contact the church office at (740) 397-1105 or email churchoffice@lakeholm.org.
