Knox County ESC honors employees for years of service

Twenty-six employees of the Knox County Educational Service Center (ESC) were recognized for their years of service at the annual staff meeting breakfast held on Tuesday, marking the start of the new school year.

The ESC presented longevity awards to staff members with service ranging from five to 25 years. The organization manages preschools in Mount Vernon, Centerburg, East Knox, and Fredericktown, as well as the Learning Center, a K-12 alternative school. Additionally, it is responsible for screening and hiring classroom aides for county school districts and its own operations.

Michelle Kipp, a classroom aide at the Learning Center, was honored for 25 years of employment with the ESC.

Employees recognized for 10 years of service included Tammara Adams (classroom aide), Angela Boeshart (classroom aide), Laurie Fox (preschool), Annette Neighbarger (classroom aide), and James Yanchek (classroom aide).

Five-year award recipients were Ashley Bundy (classroom aide), Melissa Carpenter (ESC treasurer), Hannah Chester (Learning Center), Meghan Curry (Learning Center), Whitney Frost (classroom aide), Steve Grubaugh (Learning Center), Sophia Hershberger (classroom aide), Lacy Holt (Learning Center), Amber Jenson (classroom aide), Melanie Kelly (classroom aide), Courtney Keys (Learning Center), Susan McNichols (classroom aide), Carole Miller (classroom aide), Chelsea Moore (Learning Center), Anthony Orr (Learning Center), Ahlea Parrish (Learning Center), Jade Salinas (preschool), Elizabeth Springer (preschool), Baleigh Wilson (classroom aide) and Camille Wilkin (Learning Center).
