According to the library, the Danville Community History Roundtable is scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Danville Council Room. The event is open to all and will offer light refreshments.

On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., WomenLead Wednesday will take place in the Danville Community Council Room. This women’s support group will discuss topics such as parenting and health. Future themes will be selected by participants.

The August book discussion is set for Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the City Council Room. The focus will be on *Death Comes for the Archbishop* by Willa Cather. This novel explores Father Jean-Baptiste Lamy's role as the first priest at St. Luke Parish in Danville and his subsequent appointment as Archbishop of Santa Fe Diocese. It highlights his journey westward and examines faith's intersection with politics amidst regional changes.
