Knox County Indivisible has announced a craft supply drive and community giveaway in collaboration with Dancing Bee Market & Studio. A fundraiser sale is also scheduled for September 6 at the Habitat for Humanity Learning & Training Center, with all proceeds directed towards supporting the Lil’ Pantry.

According to Knox County Indivisible, the initiative aims to support the reopening of the Lil’ Pantry, a 24-hour food pantry in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Community members are encouraged to donate extra or gently used craft supplies—such as fabric, yarn, paint, patterns, sandpaper, and tools—at Dancing Bee Market & Studio located at 3 N. Main Street. Donations can be made during store hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each donation will earn contributors a $5 voucher for purchases either in-store or online. The collected proceeds will aid the fall relaunch of the Lil’ Pantry.

The drive will culminate in a public Craft Supply Sales Fundraiser and Giveaway on Saturday, September 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Habitat for Humanity Learning & Training Center located at 405 W. Chestnut Street in Mount Vernon. With any cash or check donation at the door, attendees can browse and fill two bags with donated craft supplies provided at the event. According to Knox County Indivisible, all proceeds from this event will fully support the reopening of the Lil’ Pantry.

Pamela Faust, volunteer event organizer for Knox County Indivisible, said that their goal is "to build community while supporting both local crafters and neighbors experiencing hardship." Faust added that it offers an opportunity "to clean out your craft drawer, support a great cause, and connect through creativity."

Knox County Indivisible is described as a nonpartisan grassroots group dedicated to strengthening democratic systems and promoting equity while ensuring government serves the public fairly. Open to residents within and beyond Knox County, it brings together individuals aligned with progressive goals who advocate for inclusive policies through civic engagement and collaboration.
