Cougars set sights on 2025 cross country season | MVNU Athletics

Mount Vernon Nazarene University’s men’s and women’s cross country teams are preparing for the 2025 season, following a successful 2024 campaign. The university has released its schedule for the upcoming year.

The Cougars will begin their season on September 5 at the Indiana Wesleyan Twilight Invite. According to the schedule, they will compete against regional teams at the All-Ohio Meet hosted by Cedarville University on September 19.

Additional regular-season competitions include meets at Ohio Wesleyan and Wilmington College. These events aim to prepare the team for the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Michigan, scheduled for October 25.

Postseason competition will commence on November 7 with the Crossroads League Championships, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan. Athletes who qualify will proceed to the NAIA Cross Country National Championships in Tallahassee, Florida, on November 21.

Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) enters the new season with high expectations. The program aims to continue its focus on both athletic and academic excellence within a Christian-centered educational framework.
