Mount Vernon City Schools in Ohio contributes to the effort of providing nutritious meals to the children in the community during the summer break.
As part of the Summer Lunch Program, all children aged 18 months to 18 years can receive free meals, fostering both health and wellness during the warmer months.
Dan Emmett Elementary School and Pleasant Street Elementary School will serve as the pickup points for the free lunches, which will be served from June 2 to July 25. Families can pick up the meals at the schools between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. However, foods will not be available on July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
Families are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to provide their children with healthy and balanced meals.
Dan Emmet Elementary School is located at 108 Mansfield Ave, while Pleasant Street Elementary School is at 305 E Pleasant St, both in Mount Vernon, OH.
Last year, meals were served on-site at Dan Emmet Elementary from June 5 to July 28 as part of the Summer Food Program.
