Wiggin Street Elementary recently honored its graduating seniors with a heartfelt celebration and recognized the achievements of its returning alumni.

The school was filled with joy on Friday, May 23, as members of the Mount Vernon High School Class of 2025 returned to Wiggin Street for the annual Senior Breakfast. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd and continues to be a beloved tradition for students and staff.

Now seniors preparing to graduate, the students once walked the halls of Wiggin Street as young learners. The breakfast gave them an opportunity to reflect on their early education, reconnect with former teachers, and celebrate how far they’ve come.

“What an amazing turnout we had for Wiggin Street’s Senior Breakfast this morning! This event is always the highlight of your teachers’ year!” read a post shared on the school’s Facebook page. “We wish you the best, Class of 2025!”

More than 30 alumni of Wiggin Street Elementary participated in the celebration, returning to their former school to reminisce and mark the milestone together. Smiles, hugs, and stories filled the building as past and present came together in a moment of reflection and encouragement.

Wiggin Street Elementary, located in Gambier, is one of six elementary schools in the Mount Vernon City Schools District. The school prides itself on fostering a strong sense of community, and events like the Senior Breakfast highlight the lasting connections built there.

As the Class of 2025 moves on to new opportunities beyond high school, Wiggin Street staff and students wished them well, celebrating their journey and the roots that helped shape it.
