The Public Library of Mount Vernon & Knox County invites the community to bring their kids to the Storybook Trail.
Adults will also enjoy experiencing the joy of reading outdoors along the Pond Trail at Wolf Run Park, 17621 Yauger Road. The Storybook Trail book changes quarterly, so families can return throughout the year for new titles and fresh adventures.
This spring’s featured book is A Book for Bear by Ellen Ramsey.
Follow the bear's adventure, through the trail's different posts, to find out he will be able to find a book of his own. The School Library Journal describes A Book for Bear as "An endearing book that showcases the lengths readers will go to find the perfect book."
The partnership between the Public Library of Mount Vernon & Knox County and Knox County Park District, through a grant from the Knox County Foundation made it possible to create an educational yet fun and unique way for the community to experience the Storybook Trail.
