Knox Public Health will be hosting a Measles Vaccination Clinic this April. The clinic provides a crucial opportunity for residents to safeguard themselves and their loved ones against the highly contagious measles virus.
The free vaccination will be held at Fredericktown Community Library, 1 Burgett Dr., Fredericktown, OH on April 16 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Individuals are encouraged to visit the clinic for free measles vaccinations, which would help in preventing the disease.
"We are having a measles vaccination clinic at the Fredericktown Community Library on April 16th, from 2pm-4pm. All are welcome!" Knox Public Health posted on Facebook.
The MMR vaccine is a highly effective way to prevent measles, as well as mumps and rubella. It is recommended that children receive two doses: the first dose between 12 and 15 months of age, and the second between 4 and 6 years old. Teens and adults who have received both doses are considered up-to-date on their MMR vaccination.
