Knox Public Health is inviting the community to participate in National Public Health Week, which will be celebrated from April 7-13, 2025. This year marks the 30th anniversary of this event, which aims to advance health and well-being for all.

The organization emphasizes that public health extends beyond healthcare. It involves creating environments where everyone has access to clean air and water, nutritious food, essential health services, and strong personal connections.

For 2025, the focus areas include prioritizing individual and community well-being, promoting resilience through climate action, advancing health equity and accessibility, advocating for policies that strengthen public health, and supporting the workforce dedicated to safeguarding community health.

As Knox Public Health commemorates three decades of National Public Health Week, it encourages residents, businesses, and organizations to participate in building a healthier future. The goal is to create safer and more connected communities where everyone can thrive.

For more information about National Public Health Week, individuals are encouraged to follow @KnoxPublicHealth on Facebook, Instagram, and X or visit NPHW.org. Questions can be directed to the Public Relations Coordinators at 740-392-2200.
