Northridge track and field teams open 2025 season in Johnstown

The Northridge track and field teams kicked off their 2025 season on Saturday, competing against in-conference rivals Utica and Lakewood. The meet marked the beginning of the outdoor season for the athletes, with several standout performances.

Event winners included Nathan Burkey, who claimed victory in both the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles. In the field events, Xave Fiamingo dominated the shot put, while also finishing as the runner-up in the discus. Courtney Bevier excelled in the distance events, taking first place in both the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs. Freshman Cora Hill made a strong debut, winning the 100-meter dash. Dixie Ashbrook rounded out the list of event winners with a victory in the 100-meter hurdles.

The Northridge track and field teams will return to competition on Tuesday for their inaugural home meet at Northridge Stadium.
