The new open enrollment is applicable to elementary students residing within the district who wish to attend a different elementary school and students from outside the district seeking admission to a Mount Vernon City School District (MVCSD) school.
Parents interested in enrolling their children must create a "OneView" account by selecting the parent icon on the district's website and accessing the OneView Parent Portal. Detailed instructions for setting up a parent account and guidelines for new open enrollment are provided on the district's website. All newly enrolled students must complete their registration through an online process.
It is important to note that no applications will be accepted before April 1, 2025. Any submissions received prior to this date will be denied. The deadline for application submission is May 15, 2025. Applications will be processed according to board policy and administrative guidelines related to open enrollment. Upon submission, applicants will receive an email notification with a timestamp confirming their intent.
