East Knox FFA attends OSU FFA hockey night

The East Knox FFA of East Knox Local Schools announced that 27 members attended the OSU FFA Hockey Night at The Ohio State University on February 27. This announcement was made in a press release on February 28, 2025.

According to East Knox Local Schools, over 2,000 FFA members from across Ohio participated in the event. The East Knox FFA was represented by members including Hayden Baker, Aiden Kapper, Dylan Springer, Peyton Finch, Ariana Talbott, Ariel Atkinson, Mackenzie Wilson, Jasmine Smith, Peyton Harris, Kylie Griffith, Hunter Schrienk, Braxton Lahmon, Weston Bostic, Nate Gardner, Will Stokes, Nealie Oliver, John Schillinger, Wyatt Baker, Hayden Garman, AJ Salmons, Breidyn Burch, Alexia Wine, Brayden Moran, Laureyah Neely, John Chadwick and Madisyn Frost.

East Knox Local Schools said that the attendees watched as Ohio State’s hockey team secured a 2-1 sudden-death overtime victory against the University of Michigan. For several attendees from East Knox FFA Chapter this event marked their first time experiencing a live hockey game.

FFA stands for Future Farmers of America and is a youth organization focused on developing leadership skills and personal growth through agricultural education. Founded in 1928 it prepares members for careers in agriculture business science education and more. According to the National FFA Organization the group operates at local state and national levels providing hands-on learning experiences supported through sponsorships donations and member dues.

East Knox Local School District located in Howard Ohio is home to the East Knox FFA Chapter which supports student development through agricultural education and leadership opportunities. The chapter recognizes achievements such as American and State Degrees and is led by a 2024-2025 officer team including Dylan Springer as President and Hayden Baker as Vice President. It also organizes events like fruit and strawberry sales to support its activities.
