The school district has been informed by PowerSchool, its student information system provider, of a security breach that occurred on January 7, 2025. Since receiving the notification on February 21, 2025, the district has collaborated with PowerSchool to assess the situation.

Although it is challenging to ascertain the full extent of the breach, it appears that personal data stored on PowerSchool's servers may have been accessed. This includes names and social security numbers of both current and former staff and students within the district.

"We truly apologize for this inconvenience," said a representative from the district. The statement also mentioned that steps have been taken in coordination with PowerSchool to mitigate the impact and prevent similar incidents in the future.

PowerSchool is expected to reach out directly to affected individuals for whom contact information is available. They will provide details regarding options for credit monitoring and identity protection. The district plans to share more information as it becomes available.

For further inquiries, individuals are encouraged to contact the district directly.
