The monthly meeting of Morgan Grange #829 was held on Friday, February 14, 2025 with Overseer Ned Campbell presiding as roll call was taken and minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.  

Family Activities chairwoman and Knox County Deputy Cindy Campbell informed members of several upcoming meetings and events.   

Pomona Grange met at Morgan for their annual soup supper and meeting on Monday, February 17th.  

Members of Morgan will meet on Friday, March 14th at 7:30 pm.  

Baking contest entries will be judged and we have invited Utica High School FFA students to present their speeches for their speaking contest.  

The Ohio State Grange Lecturer and Community Service conference will be held Saturday, March 15th at the state office.  

The Deaf conference will be held Saturday, March 29th also at the state office. 

 The County Dartball tournament will be held at Morgan on Sunday, March 23rd and the State Dartball tournament will be held on Saturday, April 5th at Fredericktown.  

Morgan will be serving the Utica Senior Citizens luncheon on Monday, April 7th.  

Several thank you notes were received from local third graders for the dictionaries recently given to them from the Dictionary Project.  

The 2025  Annual Word was transmitted to members.  

Morgan members voted to nominate Ned Campbell and Mary Bebout to possibly serve as delegates to the Ohio State Convention later this fall.  

Concerns were expressed for Will and Dee Smith, Sue Bateman, Bonnie Kohl and Paul Hothem.  

Members with birthdays include Mary Bebout, Austin Campbell, Tom Carpenter and Jane Taylor.  

Tom and Oneta Debolt have a wedding anniversary this month.  

For the literary program, Lecturer JoAnn Walton invited members to bake their own birthday cakes from a kit and a group picture of all the members with their cakes was taken.  Members then enjoyed several games of Valentine Bingo while enjoying their refreshments.
