Billy Justice | AMVETS Department of Ohio

AMVETS Department of Ohio is announcing that its beloved AMVETS member and friend, Billy Justice, 88, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born on April 4, 1936, in Mohawk, West Virginia and was the son of the late Herbert and Nettie (Roberts) Justice.

Billy was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a longtime member of AMVETS Post 95.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Janet (Miller) Justice; three sons, David (Vicki) Lively, Robert Lively, and Todd (Katie) Justice; two daughters, Charlene (Vincent) Ciolino and Carlena Pinson; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by six brothers, Hershel, Mack, Millard, Jerry, Robert, and Earl, and one sister, Anna Mae Hips.

Visitation was held on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel; funeral services followed at 1 p.m. 

Burial took place in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens, with military graveside honors conducted by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.
