Fredericktown Freddies Split Two Recent Games

On January 28, the Fredericktown Freddies boys basketball team secured a decisive victory over Mount Gilead with a score of 93-60. Leading the team was Gavin Toombs, who achieved a double-double by scoring 25 points and securing 11 rebounds. Blake Sipes contributed significantly with 21 points, making an impressive 10-of-11 shots from the field, along with seven rebounds and three assists. Carson Rhinehart also played a key role by adding 20 points to the scoreboard. This win improved Fredericktown's season record to 13-3.

However, on January 31, according to reports, the Freddies were unable to maintain their winning streak as they faced Northmor and lost 66-47. Northmor established an early lead of 14-8 in the first quarter and expanded it to a 17-point advantage by halftime. Despite efforts from Fredericktown, they could not bridge the gap. The loss brought Fredericktown's record down to 13-4 while Northmor advanced to an 11-4 record.

The Freddies are now preparing for their next game against Centerburg as they aim to recover from this setback.
