On December 20th, 2024, a ceremony was held at the Knox County Court of Common Pleas in Mount Vernon, where eight county officials took their oaths of office. Judge Richard Wetzel officiated the event, welcoming the officials into their new roles.
Among those sworn in were County Engineer Cameron Keaton, County Prosecutor Chip McConville, and Clerk of Courts Christy Stanton, who were re-elected to their positions. County Recorder Tara Stiltner was elected after serving in an interim capacity since October 2023.
Newly elected officials, including Commissioners Drenda Keesee and Barry Lester, County Treasurer Connie Durbin, and Sheriff Daniel Weckesser, also took the oath, marking the beginning of their first terms in office.
