The East Knox High School Bowling program hosted its inaugural Jingle Bell Bulldog Bash on Saturday, December 21, drawing junior varsity teams from across the region for a day of competition.
In the men's division, Heath Junior Varsity Boys secured the championship in a roll-off against East Knox. After a tied championship Baker match, the game went into extra rounds with each team sending its top bowler to determine the winner. Heath's Brody Brill, who also earned the title of High Bowler of the Tournament, triumphed over East Knox's Brody Korosec to secure victory for Heath.
In the women's division, Fredericktown Junior Varsity Women defeated Grove City Christian to capture the championship. The tournament featured a unique format, beginning with three regular games and four Baker games. Teams were then ranked for a single-elimination Baker knockout, with the final round consisting of a best-of-three championship match.
According to East Knox Head Coach Chip Pozderac, she praised the event’s success and the spirit of competition, noting how the day highlighted the skill and teamwork of the young athletes. "It was a fantastic experience for everyone involved, and we’re looking forward to making this an annual tradition," Pozderac said.
The East Knox Bulldogs were proud to host this event, which provided an opportunity for junior varsity teams to showcase their abilities in front of a supportive crowd. With this year’s success, the Bulldog Bash looks set to grow and become a staple of the local bowling calendar.
