If you're seeking a scenic bikeway ride through wooded countryside, you wouldn’t want to miss this event happening on Dec. 28 and 29.
Here's why: the majority of the route is a rural rail-to-trail with flexible total lengths and optional starting points. The tour primarily follows or crosses three picturesque rivers: the Mohican River, Jelloway Creek, and Kokosing River, utilizing three rails-to-trails bikeways—the Mohican Valley Trail, Kokosing Gap Trail, and Heart of Ohio Trail.
At the turnaround point, you'll encounter Ohio's famous Bridge of Dreams, which is the second-longest covered bridge in the state and the third-longest in the nation. This bridge links the Holmes County Trail—America's first recreational trail designed to accommodate Amish horse-drawn buggies—to the Mohican Valley Trail.
