Snouffer Earns All-American Honors, Joins Evanshine on All-Region Team

After a remarkable senior season for the Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) Women’s Volleyball team, Lyssi Snouffer has been named an NAIA All-American. On Tuesday, December 17, Snouffer was awarded Second Team All-American honors as an outside hitter, capping off an exceptional year on the court.

Snouffer, a senior from Delaware, Ohio, also earned a spot on the AVCA Midcentral Region First Team alongside sophomore standout Libby Evanshine. Snouffer’s dominance as an attacking force was on full display throughout the season, leading the Crossroads League in kills per set (4.58) and total kills (577). Her impressive kill total ranked third in the nation. Offensively, she maintained a solid .244 hitting percentage, and defensively, she averaged 3.66 digs per set and contributed 45 total blocks.

In her two years with the Lady Cougars, Snouffer was a driving force behind the team’s success, helping MVNU achieve a 62-14 record and two appearances in the NAIA National Tournament. Her senior season accolades also included First Team All-Crossroads League honors and a selection to the AVCA Midcentral Region First Team.

Joining Snouffer on the All-Region First Team, Evanshine showcased her own impressive skills in her sophomore campaign. Evanshine averaged 3.32 kills per set while hitting at a .236 percentage. A force at the net, she totaled 66 blocks over the season, providing both offensive and defensive stability for the Lady Cougars.

The outstanding performances from Snouffer and Evanshine were integral to MVNU’s success this season, as both players solidified their roles as leaders on the court and earned well-deserved recognition at the regional and national levels.
