Fredericktown to Celebrate New Public Fireplace with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Kids & Families

Fredericktown is set to unveil its new public fireplace with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 7. The event will begin at 3:30 p.m., with attendees encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early.

The fireplace, located at the corner of East Sandusky Street and South Main Street, sits next to the parking lot for Brickhouse Grind. Limited parking is available at Brickhouse Grind, with additional street parking and spaces across the street behind the Fredericktown Municipal Building.

Installed by Buckeye Stoves, the fireplace was made possible through community fundraising and generous donations. Carol Grubaugh, executive director of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, expressed enthusiasm about the project. "This is a unique project, and I’m looking forward to seeing the completed work," she said.

The ceremony is free and open to the public. For more details, visit the Knox County Chamber of Commerce's events page at knoxchamber.com or call 740-694-0244.
