Hadley Huffman, A student at East Knox Elementary School represented Knox County in the 2024 United States Hobby Horse Championship | Doug Litteral

Hadley Huffman, an East Knox Elementary School student, competed in the 2024 United States Hobby Horse Championship, representing Knox County.

Inspired by childhood play with a horse head toy, Hadley sought to participate and was supported by parents Alan and Ashley Huffman.

The competition featured Barrel Racing, Junior Showjumping, and Puissance (High Jumping), requiring dedication and hard work, both of which Hadley showed.

Hobby horsing stands out as both sport and hobby, allowing flexibility, especially in a child's life.

Hadley's debut national appearance with 'Back in Black' focused on camaraderie with fellow hobby horse enthusiasts, promising future competitions.
