Danville improved their record to 5-2 after dominating Cardington Lincoln on Friday, Oct. 4, 34-8.
The Blue Devils were in command of the entire game, scoring 26 points in the first half compared to Cardington's 8.
Cyren Wallace, normally a wide receiver, was used as an alternate running back in the matchup, and he flourished greatly.
Wallace’s numbers on the game were the most impressive of his on the season as he carried the ball 8 times and totaled up 102 yards and 3 touchdowns.
In addition to Wallace’s outstanding performance, Danville stuck to their identity, running the ball with star running back Aidan Burke. Burke contributed 104 yards on 13 rushing attempts with a touchdown of his own.
The Blue Devils are now ranked second in the Knox Morrow Conference, just behind Northmor. They will face a tougher task this upcoming Friday as they will be at home facing the Centerburg Trojans, who are coming off an outstanding performance, beating Mount Gilead 46-14.
