Ammon J. Miller, 90, of Danville, passed away at his residence on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024.

He was born in Holmes County on Nov. 11, 1933 to the late John D. and Sarah (Troyer) Miller. On Nov. 8, 1956 he married Lydiann Miller who preceded him in death on March 28, 2024.

Ammon served as a bishop in the Old Order Amish Church.

He is survived by a son, Joseph (Martha) Miller of the home; daughter, Naomi (Lester) Eicher of Loudonville; son-in-law, Johnny (late Martha) Hostetler of Danville; 31 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife Lydiann, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Martha Hostetler on March 27, 2024; two infant daughters, Rachel and Rebecca; two infant grandchildren, Reuben Hostetler and Ruth Miller; and all his siblings.

Funeral services were held at the Hidden Valley Storage Barns Shop, 21125 Pealer Mill Rd, Danville, on Sunday, September 15, at 9 a.m. with Bishop Andrew A. Miller officiating. Burial followed in the Hostetler Cemetery. Friends had the opportunity to call the Hidden Valley Storage Barns Shop after 2 p.m. on Friday and any time on Saturday.
