MVNU presents free concert Saturday afternoon

The Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) Music Department is set to present its final concert for the year on Saturday. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, in the R.R. Hodges Chapel Auditorium, as stated in an MVNU press release.

According to the same press release, the concert will showcase a variety of musical groups including the Treble Singers Women's Choir, Goliards Chamber Choir, Collegians Choir, Flute Choir, String Ensemble, Jazz Band, and the Symphonic Wind Ensemble. The grand finale will be an arrangement by Jay Rouse of "Let There Be Peace on Earth", performed by combined choirs and instrumentalists.

As per another MVNU press release, the choral directors for this event are Robert Tocheff, Carrie Vail, and Sabina Anderson. The instrumental ensemble directors include John Packard, Chuck Dettmar, Juan Carlos Ortega, and Jennifer Packard.
