The West Holmes wrestling hosted a tri-meet on Feb. 7 where they beat New Philadelphia 38-34, but also took a tough 34-33 loss to Dalton. It was the last of the dual meets for West Holmes, who have an 8-5 record.
The star of the night was Grant Miller in the 215 pound class, who won his 100th match of his career with 75 coming by fall. Fellow senior Grady Toye also won his final home match.
Coach Scott Vaughn thanked Toye and Miller in the most recent newsletter for the West Holmes wrestling team, calling them “excellent kids” and “hard working members of the team.”
