Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) President Carson Castleman has announced the appointment of Sarah Alexander as the director of Traditional Enrollment. Alexander is a 2005 graduate of MVNU.

In a statement released by MVNU, Alexander said, "I want to connect with our admissions counselors, and all of our office staff, to learn what’s working and where opportunities are available since we’re mid-way through this recruitment cycle already. I want to see how we can impact the incoming class of 2024, and take what we’ve learned and implement that at full force going into our next year."

According to an MVNU press release, Alexander brings 15 years of higher education enrollment and recruitment experience to her new role. She will oversee MVNU's admissions counselors and traditional admissions marketing. In addition, she will collaborate with the School of Graduate and Professional Studies on joint enrollment efforts, develop innovative student communications strategies, and work with campus partners on programs designed to attract and recruit potential students.

Alexander will report directly to Johnna Vanover, vice president for enrollment and marketing as per an MVNU press release.

The MVNU press release confirms that Alexander is a 2005 MVNU graduate with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She previously worked at MVNU as an admissions counselor before her appointment as assistant director of recruitment in 2007. Her career also includes roles as a recruiter and then assistant director of online recruitment at Ohio Christian University, followed by a position at Southern Nazarene University as the senior enrollment counselor.

According to the same MVNU press release, Alexander resides in Hilliard with her husband Bailey and their two children aged 11 and 8.
