Caller reported a check she sent to her granddaughter was stolen through the mail. The suspect was able to manipulate the check for almost $1000 more than the original value of the check. A report is being done for documentation.

On 11/20/23, I was advised of a threats complaint from Ball Rd that needed handled by phone. Dispatch transferred the caller to my phone where contact was made.

On November 20, 2023 a complainant called into the Knox County Sheriff's Office to report a fraud incident. The deputy completed a report for documentation purposes.

On November 20, 2023 Deputies responded to a request for a welfare check on Kingsway Ct. in Howard. Contact was not made with the individual.

On November 20, 2023 a report of a juvenile female and the complainant's vehicle were both missing from a Plum St. address. The juvenile female was on probation and currently wearing an ankle monitor. Juvenile probation was contacted to locate the juvenile but she returned home a very short time later. Charges for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle are being sent to the prosecutor for review.
