Case M-P2303948 

On November 15, 2023 at approximately 3:24 A.M., Units were dispatched to the 200 block of Newark Road for a disturbance involving Jeremy Allen Morris. Dispatch advised the caller can hear a male and female yelling and fighting. While en route, several witnesses advised Jeremy ran into the roadway in front of vehicles and was struck several times. Upon arrival in the area, Jeremy resisted arrest and eventually was secured in handcuffs, in the rear position, gapped appropriately and double-locked. Jeremy was transported to Knox Community Hospital for medical evaluation. I issued charges for Jeremy Allen Morris for Inducing Panic; ORC 2917.31(A)(3), Disorderly Conduct w/ Persist; Public Intoxication; ORC 2917.11(B)(2)+(E)(3)(a), Obstruction of Official Business; ORC 2921.31(A), Resisting Arrest; ORC 2921.33(A) and I issued a traffic citation for Walking Along Highways; ORD 371.05(a).

On November 15th, 2023 at approximately 12:01 P.M. I was dispatched to the 900 block of West Vine Street in reference to an assault. 

A report was taken and sent to the juvenile prosecutor to be reviewed for criminal charges.

On November 15th, 2023, at approximately 12:40pm, I was dispatched to The village Network at 17606 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050 on a report of an assault. 

A report will be sent to the Knox County Juvenile Prosecutor for review.

On November 15th, 2023 at approximately 1:37P.M. I spoke with an individual in the lobby of the Mount Vernon Police Department in reference to a harassment complaint.

On November 15, 2023 at approximately 3:19 P.M., I responded to 117 West Pleasant Street for a reported assault.

On 11/16/2023 I responded to Industrial Park Drive in reference to a disturbance. The complainant's ex boyfriend showed up to her place of employment threating her and requesting money. The male stated he would damage her vehicle and house if she did not send him money. Michael Mitchell was subsequently arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

On November 17th, 2023 at approximately 10:35 A.M., officers were dispatched to the Mount Vernon Police Department lobby in reference to fraud.
