December 2023 COMING EVENTS

Wednesday, December 6th and 13th at 10:00 am: Story Time with Miss Kathy: Join Miss Kathy for stories and activities for children birth to preschool age. There will be as pecial Christmas story time on December 13th and there will be a visit with Santa.

Thursday, December 7th at 2:00 pm: Crafting: Join us and create a beaded star ornament. All supplies are provided and registration is required.

Friday, December 8th at 11:00 am: Recipe Exchange: This is our 9th annual cookie exchange. Please prepare 4 dozen of your favorite cookie to share. Remember to bring the recipe and a container/tin to transport your cookies home. Also, bring an appetizer to share as we welcome in the holiday season.

Tuesday, December 12th at 5:30 pm: Teen Crafting: Every month make a DIY craft with the Lauren at the library. This month join us and create a Yarn Star Ornament. All supplies are provided; however, registration is required.

Thursday, December 14th at 10:00 am: Homeschool Program: Nature Space: Science & History: This program is designed for homeschool students of all ages. Nature Space will explore a different nature-related topic each month with stories, games, experiments, crafts and STEM projects. This month the topic is Trees. The Licking County Soil & Water folks will be joining us as a special guest. If you have questions, please call Kathy.

Thursday, December 14th and 28th at 5:00 pm: Ukulele Association of Homer: This is a time for fellow ukulele players to meet for ukulele practice and to share their enthusiasm for this unique instrument in an informal setting. There will be an experienced ukulele player in attendance to offer lessons. The library has ukuleles for lending and all ages are welcome to attend.

Friday, December 15th at 1:00 pm: Forensic Scientist, Laura Kimble: Join us and welcome Laura Kimble, Senior Drug Analyst from Hamilton County Coroner’s Office for an interesting discussion about her profession.

Tuesday, December 19th at 5:30 pm: Teen Painting: Join us each month a let your creativity flow and paint a warm winter scene. Registration is required.

Thursday, December 21st at 5:00 pm: Teen Movie and Pizza: Watch a movie and enjoy pizza too. Join us and watch the classic musical Annie (1999). Pizza and soft drinks will be provided. Please RSVP by Wednesday, December 20 th at 5 pm.

Friday, December 22nd 11:00 am: Book Club: The book selection this month is “A Christmas Memory” by Richard Paul Evans. Reserve your copy by calling or stopping by the library. Join us for an informal, interesting and lively discussion.
