Steve Fox, age 49, of Heath, passed away unexpectedly on
Friday, October 6, 2023, at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark.
He was born on June 11, 1974, in Mount Vernon to Richard Fox
and Paula (Treen) Rayburn.
Steve had many accomplishments in his life but the one that he
was most proud of was his master’s degree from Franklin
University. He worked very hard to accomplish this and his family
could not have been prouder. Steve had many gifts that he
offered to the world. He had such a kind heart and would help
anyone that he could, whether you had two legs or four. Steve
was a stranger to no one. He could carry on a lengthy
conversation with you even if he had just met you. He had an
amazing sense of humor and used it any chance that he could.
Steve was such an animal lover. He wanted to make sure that
every pet had a parent, even if that meant that it was him.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Paula (Ben)
Rayburn, sister, Jennifer (Ian) Grubaugh, his father, Richard Fox,
paternal grandmother, Helen Fox, uncle, Jon (Kelly) Fry, his fur
babies, Rowdy, Zoey, Prius, Repo, along with numerous extended
family and friends.
The family is observing private services. The Snyder Funeral
Home – Dowds Chapel is handling the arrangements for the
family.
The family would like to thank the staff in the ICU at Licking
Memorial Hospital for the care and kindness that was given to
Steve and the family. You went above and beyond any
expectations and was never be forgotten.
In honor of Steve’s love of animals and his desire to give every
pet a parent, we invite you to make a donation in Steve’s memory
