Partington records 52 assists in 1-1 week for Fredericktown

KMAC leading Fredericktown (14-3, 9-0) went 1-1 in volleyball action last week, led by Julia Partington who had 52 assists over two matches.

On Sept. 28 the Freddies beat Danville (5-12, 2-8) easily with set wins of 25-14, 25-8 and 25-17. Mya Bryant had 10 kills and Cally Carpenter added nine kills. Julia Partington led the serving with three aces, and also set the ball well with 29 assists. Josie Leach recorded two blocks. Ella Bouton led the defense with 10 digs. 

The Freddies then took a 3-0 loss to Johnstown-Monroe (13-3, 9-2) on Sept. 30, with set scores of 26-24, 25-17 and 25-22. Lillian Rose had nine kills to lead the team’s offense. Bryant had a team high three blocks, and also had a pair of digs. Carpenter had 13 digs and seven kills. Taylor Bryant had 12 digs and Partington recorded 23 assists.
