Sept. 13

- Caller reported her son threatened to kill his sister. Upon arrival contact was made with the Juvenile Prosecutor who authorized charges for Domestic Violence. The juvenile was medically cleared at KCH and transported to the Juvenile Detention Facility without incident.

- On September 13, 2023 a female called into the Sheriff's Office asking to report a possible harassment incident. A deputy spoke with the female and a report was generated for documentation.  

- Caller reported his tractor was stolen from the property where he is building a house. A report is being done for documentation.

- On September 13, 2023 a female was arrested on an outstanding warrant.  

Sept. 12

- The driver of the vehicles was traveling on Newcastle Road headed west when a deer ran out in front of the driver. The driver hit the deer causing disabling damage. A report was generated.

Sept. 11

- On September 11, 2023, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Gambier, Ohio. The deputy conducted a probable cause search and found marijuana and a loaded handgun on the drivers person. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail.

Sept. 10

- On September 10, 2023, a deputy was dispatched to a residence on Columbus Rd to investigate a disturbance between two neighbors. Both individuals stated that the other was yelling and cursing at the other. A report was taken to document the incident nothing further at this time.

- On September 10, 2023, a welfare check was requested at Sycamore Rd. address after a friend was unable to make contact with him for two days. Deputies were unable to locate the male at his residence.

- On the above date, Deputy Ryan Burgess spoke to the complainant by telephone. The complainant wanted to report that he had noticed that he had some holes in his shop siding that were not there on September 09, 2023.

- A complainant advised he had been threatened by a male on multiple occasions and requested a report. This report will be forwarded to the Mount Vernon City Law Director's Office for review of charges.

- A complainant called and reported his license plate from his trailer was stolen. A report was taken on the complainant's behalf and the license plate was entered into L.E.A.D.S. as stolen.

- On September 10, 2023, the Knox County Sheriff's Office was contacted by Kenyon Campus Safety in reference to an intoxicated female who was unresponsive. EMS transported the female to the Knox Community Hospital. The female was issued a summons in lieu of arrest for underage consumption.

- On September 10, 2023, Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Ackland St. in reference to an underage person sick from alcohol. The underage person was taken to the hospital and a report was taken for documentation.

Sept. 9

- On Saturday, Se,ptember 9, 2023, a deputy was dispatched to the area of Granville Road near Blackjack Road on a vehicle crash involving a deer. Statements and information were gathered on-scene and a crash report was written.

On Saturday, September 9, 2023, a deputy responded to the motocross park in Martinsburg to investigate three juveniles that had been left unattended for several hours. The deputy arrived on scene and spoke to the complainant along with the father to the juveniles. Statements were collected and a  report made. Nothing further at this time.

On Saturday, September 9, 2023, a deputy was dispatched to Brush Run Rd. on a report of found property. Complainant stated while cleaning up a property she found a raft belonging to a local campground. The complainant requested a report to document the incident. The owner of the raft was notified and it was picked up. Nothing further at this time.

On September 9, 2023, the Knox County Sheriff's Office was contacted in reference to a burglary in progress at a residence on White Road, Centerburg, Ohio. The complainant advised that a male had broken into their house. The complainant's husband secured the suspect until Deputies arrived and took him into custody. The suspect was transported to the Knox County Jail.

Sept. 8

- A complainant advised she was scammed for $150.00 and requested a report for documentation.
