Matt Moneymaker, founder/president of the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization and co-host of Animal Planet's "Finding Bigfoot,'' will speak at a VIP dinner at Pleasant Hill Lake Park in Perrysville on Oct. 5.

“The weekend will kick off with a VIP dinner and presentation by Moneymaker on Thursday, October 5th, along with campfire BFRO speakers, activities for kids, and movie under the stars,” says Louis Andres, program specialist at Pleasant Hill Lake Park. “Saturday’s activities will include a community town hall with Moneymaker, BFRO investigator presentations, Bigfoot author book signings, guided pontoon tours, Bigfoot T-Shirt tie dye, casting class, just to name a few.”

A PG-rated movie called "Smallfoot" will be shown.

Ohio has over 300 reported Bigfoot sightings, ranking it fourth nationwide, behind Washington, California and Florida, according to BFRO.com. Two recent sightings were in Ashland County at Mohican State Park on June 18, 2021, and at Pleasant Hill Lake Park's primitive camp area on Aug. 18, 2020.
