International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD), observed annually on Aug. 31, is a campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died and acknowledge the grief of family and friends left behind. Join KSAAT at Ariel-Foundation Park for resources, stories of hope and a remembrance ceremony concluded with the lighting of the tower, bridge and viaduct in purple. KSAAT encourages our communities and neighbors to come together to remember those who have died or suffered permanent injury due to drug overdose and to support families who have lost sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters.
