The Mount Vernon City Council has approved a series of appointments and reappointments to various city and Knox County boards and authorities. These decisions were made during the council meeting held on January 13.
According to the minutes from the meeting, Barb Brenneman was unanimously reappointed to the Knox County Health District Board. Brenneman serves as the property manager for Oakwood Management Co. at the Retreat at Mount Vernon Apartment Community.
The minutes also indicate that Mayor Matt Starr's reappointment of Dee Allerding to the Metropolitan Housing Authority received unanimous approval from the city council. Allerding is employed by Dennis & Schisler Inc.
Another unanimous confirmation was Aaron Moreland's appointment to the Public Library of Mount Vernon & Knox County's Board of Trustees. Additionally, Todd Hawkins was reappointed to the Local Board of Tax Review, with his appointment receiving unanimous support from the council.
Furthermore, Paul McNeal was appointed to the Recreation Board by Mayor Starr, an appointment that was also approved by the city council.
